Cognitive Communication Program
The Cognitive Communication Program is designed to help individuals who experience difficulties expressing their thoughts clearly, finding the words they want to say, and remembering new information.
Focusing on reconnecting memory and language, patients learn about environmental or lifestyle factors that may impact recollection and communication.
With specialized protocol developed at ATC by in-house Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Occupational Therapists, patients are given the opportunity to practice strategies for improved comprehension and communication that promote communicative independence.
A therapist’s (OT or SLP) referral is preferred, however patients may sign up independently by filling out our referral form; patients are accepted on a case-by-case basis at any point in the continuum of care.
This is a fee-for-service program.
