Communications Strategies Training Program
The Communication Strategies Training Program is a 10-session solution designed to help individuals experiencing difficulty expressing themselves as a result of a stroke, Parkinson’s, MS or Aphasia.
Patients work with their communication partner to learn strategies to overcome communication barriers.
Our team of Speech-Language Pathologists and Communication Disorders Assistants provide low-tech strategies and techniques for effective alternative methods of communication using accessible tools such as pen and paper, pictures, communication books, boards and other familiar low-tech tools.
We also offer the cross-discipline support for patients to explore higher-tech tools that may further assist with communication.
A therapist’s (OT or SLP) referral is preferred, however patients may sign up independently by filling out our referral form; patients are accepted on a case-by-case basis at any point in the continuum of care.
This is a fee-for-service program.
